old versus new

Today the memory of the facebook was a photo advertising our first website. I remember that the money was short and the prices that the developers asked me for a website was high for my pocket. So, without having a clue of webdesign, tags, domains etc, but with a strong need of a representation of our surfcamp in the web,i was pushed for an adventure of endless days and nights burning my eyes studying, understanding and feeling my self as an web designer. And so the site was done and finished, and the surprise of all surprises in the day that was launched to the web i recived the first reservation :) I really felt very proud of my work, even more becouse i grew up in a generation where computers were almost science fiction and starry nights around bonfires, well tight to our loves while guitars and a few beers set the tone was our reality, too far from sites, adwords and so on. Today our site was developed by a webmaster and i really like him. www.westcoastsurfcamp.com It's a website that represents everything that I want to pass on to our clients, such as what we think about surfing, what we feel that teaching surf should be, the vibe of the camp and above all he has soul,soul surf. But it's as they say, there is no love like the first one :)
